Two of Columbia’s strongest lead vocalists have teamed up to create a set of classic favorite tunes, with intertwining harmonies, tight enough to send shivers down the spine. Colin LaVaute, is most known for his work with his band Decadent Nation, which has been playing for mid-Missouri crowds since 2005. Violet Vonder Haar, front woman for Violet and the Undercurrents started performing for Columbia crowds at the age of 9, most often known for her distinct vocal inflections and unique songwriting.
Both of these musicians are veterans to the stage, which is apparent in their solid presentation. Together, they have handpicked some of their favorite tunes, some classics, some more obscure. One might compare their sound to a mix between The Civil Wars and The Decemberists, with some homegrown Missouri influence mixed within.
